Beware of unknown origin
How to prevent yourself from such unfair practices and how to distinguish the quality product from the stuff which is far away from any standards and norms? Your very first helper should be your common sense. You are holding in your hand a miraculously appearing ampoule or package which - according to the brief description – was allegedly delivered from Africa or India. However, the label does not indicate where exactly the location of the cultivation of this product is, nor you learn anything about import, nutritional value of moringa or about the manufacturer.
This should be an indicator that tells you that something is not right, as soon as you are not able to find out anything about the producer of moringa and you can´t even look up any information on the internet. Therefore you know nothing about processing it and you will have no knowledge about the state and quality of moringa at the time of its delivery. It is the price that is alarmingly lower than the one we offer for Moringa Caribbean products which makes people argue and ask questions. When you buy Moringa for 10 euro and not, for example, for 40 euro, are you sure you can say something about the origins, hygiene conditions and the distribution of this rare plant? Can you say with certainty that moringa is right from the African region, as implies its name? Can you tell it without knowing its composition? How are you going to get the certificate of cultivation and hygiene measures, even when you do not know the place from which this moringa is imported?
Just for comparison, our product brand Moringa Caribbean is transparent in terms of the processing, consumer protection and quality of the final goods. Moringa Caribbean is grown on plantations of the Caribbean island of St. Lucia in the Caribbean on the fertile volcanic soil without the use of pesticides. During its processing strict hygiene conditions are observed. In practice, this means that we pay special attention to the soil where Moringa is grown, we carefully watch it as it grows, how it is subsequently processed, dried, stored, packaged and in the last stage transported to us to Europe.
This whole process takes a lot of time, effort and of course, money. After being handpicked the Moringa leaves must be processed as soon as possible, then thoroughly washed, trimmed of stalks and dried mechanically. All of this must be done in perfectly clean condition. If we again use our common sense and simple logic, we must conclude that the producers of cheaper moringa must necessarily cut down or ignore some of these processes.
Therefore, we tested and did chemical analyses of cheaper products.
We found out that especially those packages coming from India and Africa contained mould, other packagings even didn´t contain Moringa but a mixture of mouldy moringa and rice flour! These are actual cases threatening human health.
The strategy of our company Moringa Caribbean is the highest product quality possible. We spared no expenses during the construction of the laboratory for the processing of moringa and therefore as one of a few in the Caribbean we have a professional machine for drying and grinding moringa. Therefore we also achieved the best results among all tested rare plants in the analyses conducted by the National Veterinary and Food Institute of the Slovak Republic.
We can pride ourselves on satisfied customers, which is something that the producers of cheaper and dubious products lack.
